On 29 July 2010, VIP Day for L6 was held at the Multipurpose Hall. This event provided an opportunity for parents to discuss the students' academic performances with the subject tutors.

On 26 July 2010, SMSO students accompanied by teachers from the Malay Language Department, visited Majlis Ilmu (Convention for knowledge) 2010 exhibition at the International Conference Centre in Berakas.

Flag waving at Ramah Mesra Bersama Raykat (Meet and greet) session with His Majesty at the Tutong District (22.7.2010)
On 22 July 2010 SMSO students together with students from other schools in the Tutong District took part in the flag waving ceremony at the annual Ramah Mesra Bersama Rakyat (meet and greet) session with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, in conjunction with the monarch's 64th birthday celebrations.

Appointment of the new members of the student council 2010/11 (14.7.2010)
On 14 July 2010, the appointment ceremony of the new members of the student council (Session 2010/11) was held at the multi purpose hall, followed by a sharing session with the senior members of the student council (session 2009/10) at the conference room.
