Influenza A H1N1 Crisis Management Action Plan

In combacting against the spread of Influenza A H1N1 at SMSO, the following actions are to be taken out every morning:

- Students are to be dropped off at the bus stand only.

- Y7 - M5 students will be ushered to Secondary Block and 6th Form students to 6th Form Block respectively for body temperature check. Students will be given stickers with their body temperature written on, to put on at all time during the day.

- Students whose body temperature is Normal AND show NO symptoms of sickness will proceed to their respective classes.

- Students whose body temperature is Normal but With symptoms of sickness (such as coughing or running nose), or whose body temperature is 38 degrees Celsius or above (with or without symptoms) will be ushered to the Multi-purpose Hall. Parents/guardians of the respective students will be contacted and are advised to go to the nearest clinic for check-up.

- All main gates will be closed by 7.45am (by 1.30pm for afternoon session).

- Body temperature checks for ALL visitors will be carried out by the security guard at the gate and stickers with their temperature written must be put on at all time during the visit.

- All students, parents/guardians and visitors are kindly requested to be co-operative in this matter.
