Nahqim was a student at SMSO from 2002 (Form 1) to 2008 (Upper 6). Throughout his seven years at SMSO, he was one of the top achievers, especially in Mathematics and Sciences. He did his A Levels in Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology. With Grade A in his A Level Mathematics, he continued his studies to read Bachelor of Science in Financial Mathematics at the University of Kent in the United Kingdom, under the Ministry of Education scholarship.
Nahqim was also active in the school CCAs; and was a school prefect during his Secondary school and a member of the School Student Council (MPP) at Form 6. He was the Religious and Welfare Officer for BruKent Society, the Brunei Student Society at Kent University. During his summer break from the university this year, he participated in several community activities in Tutong.
His positive and cheerful personality will always be remembered and he is indeed a PRIDE of Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina 'Othman, Tutong.
